On the job, we have different time codes for various tasks or time off. You have to account for yourself as to what you did for that specific time. You don’t tell your manager that you just did not want to come to work. You must give a reason why you were not there. As saints, we have to be accountable to man and expect no less from God! You just don’t wander off for days, weeks, or years and then return with no explanation of where you have been and why. If saints will be missing church, the pastor should always know where they are and why. The seventh day is set aside by God to worship Him. Some people will leave the church and then eventually come back. When they return, we tell them how much we have missed them, but they don’t give an account of their actions. Sometimes we have to admit that we still need some training. We have to be accountable for all that we do. Make a call when you will not be in church. Inform the pastor.
1 Corinthians 3:1-23
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are not carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers with God; ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundations can no man lay than is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death,or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
This is how we relate to God. Understand the spiritual order of things.
Some will debate that the days/years in the Old Testament were not the same as the days/years we use today. They will say that Methuselah didn’t really live for 969 years! That’s a long time! Nevertheless, the Word of God is True.
Adam’s bible only had three lines in it and he couldn’t follow them. Our life’s expectancy was shortened because of sin! Where there was no law there was no transgression.
Deuteronomy 34:7
7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
If you obey God and walk upright for Him, then you too can live to be one hundred twenty years old and your eyes will not be dim.
Genesis 6:7-9
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with god.
This is the very nature of God. People don’t believe God. God is saying, “I brought you in and I will take you out!” Noah was just and perfect in his generations. “In his generations” indicates Noah’s dispensational salvation. What was Noah’s plan of salvation? He was to make an ark exactly like God told him. Noah did not compromise. He could have said, “I’ll use 1/3 gopher, 1/3 pine, and 1/3 cedar because that would be better.” He could have said, “I have to spend time with my family, so I’ll do it my way which is much faster.” But Noah chose to walk with God and do it exactly how God told him. Let us reason together now. God means just what He says! Therefore, be persuaded to believe God only.
